Can't visit? No demonstrated interest?

So I didn't apply for scholarships, I can't visit, and won't have an interview...I'm also definitely not overqualified but has anyone ever gotten into WUSTL without demonstrated interest?

From my understanding Wash U doesn’t require interviews and the like. If you don’t have one it won’t hurt you. Also if you really want to show interest you should make time to have an interview, or meet with an alum. To do this you should call Wash U and ask if they have anyone in the area who can meet with you (DO NOT HAVE YOUR PARENTS CALL). There are always kids who get in without any demonstrated interest, but more is always better.

I got in without demonstrating interest, but it’s always best to do whatever you can to let them know you want to go there. Sending an email might not seem like much, but it could potentially have a big effect.

I didn’t call, visit, email, or interview and I got in so it’s definitely possible. But it also seems to me that college admissions are extremely arbitrary

eh got waitlisted… :/
