Anyone else??

haha same here :) :)

Aww... I remember when I was like this. It's so cute! [insert diminutives]

You are all so cute!

lol. until the first round of finals.

college ain't THAT great. be prepared to be let down.

Why'd you say that. :(

eh, its true. its very exciting to get in and stuff, and while there's definitely fun to be had, the bottom line is it's SCHOOL. There's still a ton of stress, deadlines, procrastination, drama, homework, annoying professors, etc. to be dealt with. which isn't to say that you shouldn't be excited, because it's a big accomplishment and a big transition. But in 6-8 months just don't expect to still be riding the high. Enjoy the excitement and enjoy school but don't make it into this big, idealized mythic thing because in the end, you're still you and it's still school and its just life, for better and worse.

before you enter college, there are so many amazing things ahead of you that you can't even imagine yet!
on the flip side, there are plenty of annoying and negative things equally unforeseen.
so, it all balances out. the biggest highs -> the biggest lows. college is just a larger version of... everything! for better or worse.
but mostly for better :)

Enjoy your summer break, cause you will be met with a lot of work once you get here.

yes! I agree with sandkicks. go travel if you have the opportunity! just don't stay at home in front of the computer. go places.

trust me when I say this, you DO NOT want it to start. enjoy one of your last chances at pure fun and relaxation. once you get into college, you have to "utilize" your breaks to get internships and other crap needed for grad school.

yeah, college is not all fun and games. the average ucla student seems to be very stressed. like lots of responsibilites, they work alot (jobs and school), esp. south campus...................................... its not a carefree existnece. and LA and hecticness. and girls , b/c of the new gender role they have now, they have more freedom.. so they can do more things, and its more competitive and stressful. etc. i mean for girls its not like what it used to be w/marry and kids. they now have to get careers and its hard for them. to manage everything.

i mean it can be, but you'll have a ****ty GPA and no future :) (unless you got a trust fund - then partyyyyyy)

Welcome week & Week 1 was the biggest gap for me. Rushing every night, meeting new people, discovering new things, expanding comfort zone, and doing fun stuff - and then suddenly, work-studying-responsibilities increased exponentially and I turned into an antisocial South Campus student. :(

heh. i had band camp.
so week 0 was all... BAND BAND BAND eat BAND BAND sleep repeat...
and week 1 was SCHOOL BAND hw BAND GAME BAND hw sleep TRIP TO NOTRE DAME hw sleep BAND TRIP TO CAL hw sleep BAND

third quarter... OMG so much CLASS then hwhwhwhwhw then rush! then tutoring program then... well i haven't really gotten to the sleep part yet x.x

first quarter: school. shop for classes. become frustrated. find organizations. didn't try hard enough to find ones that fit me.
second quarter: depressing. didn't even want to come back after winter break. was dreading it.
third quarter: school SHOPPED FOR CLASSES (I have never been so confused). work. clubs/teams. more optimistic

first: met millions of people, became involved in two major things, early classes, lots of exposure, change in attitudes

second: work work wrok , solidify positions

third: chill classes and schedule, optimistic outlook, getting weary of some of the ECs i'm in... but more involved in another.

first quarter was pretty good for me

First quarter: New clubs, new people, rushed once, found APHC (hecks yes!). Loved the food.

Second quarter: Stress time. 3 science classes is not fun. Grew tired of food. Newfound interview experience.

Third quarter: Wake up at 12 every day for class. Lazy. Chill. Impending feeling of doom if I don't get my act together.

And just wondering, moldau: when does a boy become a man? I remember you had that stupid boy rant near finals.
