Hello!
So I plan on applying to Mccombs through the cap program, and I noticed that the completion of macro/micro economics and calculus 1 and 2 are required. So if I get the AP credits of macro and calc 1 and calc 2 applied to my transcript, will I still have to take those said classes in my freshmen year?
Hopefully this is clear and easy to understand, thanks!
Read this carefully- UT is not very encouraging about coming out of CAP into the more competitive majors. They are also not very encouraging for those with a lot of AP credit. I may not like how difficult it seems to be to get a major appt UT but they are very honest with you before you undertake the process.

If you are still interested in trying, here is what UTA says:

The way I read this you will need to take a math class that is not college algebra. You may want to take credit for one of the math AP credits and not the other. Otherwise you have to take a math credit that will count as an elective.
No matter what, you have to take 30 hours that year, so whatever you take you will need to balance the need for it to count towards your degree with the need to make very high grades to get into McCombs. McCombs is looking for 3.8 to 3.9 for transfers.
