<p>waitlisted means you’re not exactly accepted just yet, but not denied either. you’re put on the waiting list and if space clears up (people don’t accept their admission) you’ll be accepted. as far as i know, it’s for everyone.</p>
<p>CAP is only for TX residents. basically you go to UTD, UTA, UTSA, etc. (whichever you want) for a year, complete the CAP coursework requirements and get a 3.2 GPA, you’ll be auto-admitted your sophomore year at UT Austin.</p>
<p>If you do accept the agreement make sure your classes are transferrable under the CAP program. I forgot to check that when I signed up for classes and I have less than the 30 required hours… which doesn’t matter much to me, anyway, since I’m applying as a regular transfer applicant.</p>
<p>So I got capped, so no waitlist</p>
