CAP student transfering Spring semester

Is it possible for a CAP student with enough college hours to transfer during the spring semester, rather than completing the CAP year? I can't find anything prohibiting this on the CAP site.

A CAP contract is for an entire year:http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/docs/cap.flyer.pdf

CAP students have to complete 30 hours at their CAP facility in order to transfer to Austin. You can’t carry in hours that you already have.

You can do that via an external transfer (i.e. not from the CAP program). In many ways transferring externally is better than CAP. If you are not already committed to CAP and intend to transfer to UT I would recommend it.

If you’re grades are really good at the end of the semester, you can transfer. I’m not sure if you have to opt out of the CAP program first (I doubt it), but just ask the CAP program advisor. If you do have to opt out, make sure you’re GPA is high enough to get into the program you want easy. Because it would suck to opt out then you don’t get in. Good luck!
