I heard that going through the cap program wont guarantee a spot in CNS like it does in Liberal Arts, so would it be worth it to go through CAP (what if i fail, dont get in CNS) or should i look at other options (UH, HBU, Texas State).
How hard is it to get into CNS?
Also for my Freshman admission major i chose Nursing as the 1st option and Undergrad studies as 2nd but have my eyes on Physician Assistant and really wanting to go to UT

You don’t have to have a major in CNS to go to PA school. You have to fulfill the pre-reqs and follow the other criteria. It is possible to do it through other majors including liberal arts.
You can find external transfer statistics to CNS here:

I would assume internal requirements are slightly easier, but not a lot.
Overall, it is a safer route to go to another school, but it is possible at UT if you are flexible on your major.
