anyone? please chance

Well, which Ivies are you applying to? Or do you want us to just chance you for all of them...?

basically harvard, princeton, stanford, mit, cal tech, columbia, cornell, upenn and brown. thanks.

Honestly, it's a crapshoot. You have virtually perfect stats, and there is absolutely no way in hell that I could tell you your chances of getting into each of these schools... but I'll try to use my psychic powers to predict: (actually, I'm a pretty good guesser)

Harvard: no
Princeton: yes
Stanford: no
MIT: yes
Cal tech: yes
Columbia: yes
Cornell: yes
U Penn: yes
Brown: no

In at MIT and CIT. Unsure of others.

wow, those are not the chances I thought they would be. My SAT scores isn't all that high :(
Good(and bad) news lol i got my new transcript, my GPA unweighted fell to 11.889, but I'm ranked 4th now, but still 1st for weighted
Do you really think MIT and CIT I have a good shot for, cause MIT, CIT, and stanford were my top picks.

No one can really tell you your chances for HYPSM because they get thousands of applicants who all have your great stats (or better) but can only accept so many.

That said, I think you have a decent shot at MIT because they tend to look at math/science accomplishments more. That doesn't mean it isn't a reach though.

I agree, you should have a good chance at MIT/CIT just based off the obvious dedication to math you've shown in your EC's. I think you should be in at some of the lower ivies, too, like Cornell. For the high reaches like HYP, no one can really know for sure.

do my SAT I and SAT II scores hurt me? Like should I retake them?

The SAT I and II scores aren't too bad, but have you considered taking the ACT. You have a good shot of doing well on it.

Is it better for me to retake the SAT I and hope for above 2300, or take the act?

I just wanna say that you and me got the exact same SAT grades.....

(SAT Reasoning)

and guy way above......where do you get off saying that he doesnt have a chance at Harvard but he has one at Princeton

admissions there are basically the same its by chance if he gets into one but not the other...

How is this a "guaranteed" at MIT and CIT?

You're competitive, but there are no guarantees you'll get in -any- of those high-ranking schools. It -is- nice to see that you also have interests in sports and the arts - the range of interests may help you. Be sure to emphasize this in your essays and exude a really encouraging personality. It'll reaffirm your leadership skills and the fact that you're doing most of these things out of enjoyment, not enslavement for admissions.

Best of luck =) I'm an MIT'12 and remember perfectly what it was like to be in your shoes a year ago, so any questions please ask - I may not know everything but I'll help when i can.

but what are my chances?

ok chances, even. bring up your SAT.

bump, anyone else?

im not gonna say anything about your college chances

but your extra curriculars are looking strong

esp. becuz you have lots of awards and recognitions.

wouldn't be surprised if you got into your top picks
