Capitalism

So somebody in another thread said capitalism sucked. I tried pointing out that every piece of technology we enjoy in life is a direct result of capitalism.

I mean seriously, without competition there is no technological progress.

This is pretty much undeniable. Thoughts?

Capitalism isn’t really a “free market.” Everything in capitalism is in control of the people who have the money. The rich people in the world, the bankers. They want something to go their way? Then all they have to do is simply turn the tables.

You cannot be serious.

Wait, you cannot be serious.

Right?

This has nothing to do with bankers. I’m talking about technological growth.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

you’re hilarious. keep it up.

So you actually think we would have technological progress in a 100% socialist state?

Where would the motivation come from?

You’re overstating your argument becuase a lot of technology was developed in nonprofit state-funded institutions. But yeah, capitalism is awesome, just like socialism.

Says who? This is a capitalistic way of thinking.

And even without capitalism, nationalistic competition would ensure technological progress (according to your little theory).

Nevermind this thread is useless now. Root of the problem has been discovered.

Ha. So once you “win” your petty argument, this thread is deemed useless?

Don’t play us for tools fool.

=] I feel compelled to say that I don’t really mean what I said.
