For example, for ORMS, one of the requirements is that students must "maintain a 3.2 GPA in Math 53 and 54, Econ 1, 2, or 3, and BA 10." Does this mean they need to earn B+s or better in each course or have any combination of grades that earns them a 3.2+? My answer was it's the latter, but I'd like to be sure.

While on the topic, what are your thoughts of someone with a C+ in Math 54 and a 3.5 for major req'd classes applying for ORMS? Is that just begging to be rejected?

Sorry to be off topic, but weren’t you previously going for CS? What made you change your mind?

Oh, no no. I’m definitely still doing CS. Someone entering Cal as a freshman next year was trying to find a major and was wondering about capped majors, specifically ORMS. I just didn’t want to give false information. As for the grade in Math 54…In a community college course, he received a B. He figured, worst case scenario, he’ll do worse since Cal’s math is definitely tougher than his CC’s.
