How accurate is cappex.com?

Not very. I would suggest you look at the common data sets for each school you are interested in applying. It will give a breakdown of what the school considers important, the range of GPA’s & test scores of admitted students.

I’ve heard mixed feedback of using Cappex. Is it worth it for me to make an account?

Ugh Cappex drove me crazy. I obsessed over it. In the end, it proved to be completely inaccurate.

One of the CCers just directed me to www.collegedata.com and the info about each school seem as accurate as possible. Not sure about the “chancing” elements, however. Check it out.

I use Cappex…it’s been good, for the most part. It’s accuracy is “meh”, though.

You might find the scatterplots on parchment and collegedata to be a little more informative. Also, the information on collegeresults (dot org) seems very objective and accurate.
