<p>Is being from Minnesota a hook when applying to schools like BC, Notre Dame, Duke, Gtown, etc. I understand ND is Midwest so that may not help so much, but thoughts?</p>

<p>“Hooks” are generally far more effective (like a parent) than this, but this still is an advantage. Colleges favor students from states with low attendance so look up statistics for each school. I’m guessing that they are in you favor.</p>
