Car Accidents

Yeah, I just had my first one. It wasn't terrible - I was trying to turn left onto a relatively busy street during rush hour (bad idea in the first place, right?) and a car stopped to let me into the turn lane...but since the street curved, a guy in the left lane came and caught the back of my bumper on one of his headlights. He told me his wife was pregnant, though, before I actually saw her...I was imagining the absolute worst when it turns out she was more like a month in.

So yeah, it was interesting. Share yours.

I have a rather interesting story. It was extremely scary. It was over Christmas break. Driving by myself three hours away from home on my way back from my dad's at 9:00 at night, pitch-black, I hit 2 deer that were crossing the road. I totally freaked; I mean I hit not only one, but 2. It did very little damage, but the fact that I was on the this really dark road at 9:00 at night all by myself just terrified me. I had no idea what I was supposed to do. My bumper was like missing, and there was some type of liquid just flowing out. Luckily, my dad lives about an hour from where I hit the deer. So the first thing I do is pull out my cell phone; but I have no signal! I drive like 20 miles until I have one bar on my phone and pull into a church parking lot and wait an hour or so for my dad to show up. We taped up my bumper and it turned out that the only thing that was leaking was the windshield wiper fluid.

The accident itself did very little harm to my car and to the deer, but it was just the whole experience of being so far away from home and having something like this occur to me.
