Curious - Who here has a college sticker from your child’s school on their car?
We put college/grad school decals on the car that the kids share (not on the cars H or I use most of the time). They like having the stickers and we are glad that they feel proud of their schools. FWIW I had a sticker on my mom’s car way back when.
Someone I know actually got a ticket from a policewoman for having two college decals on her rear windshield. Apparently, they are illegal! I had not realized that.

D has a rather large one on her car (the type that goes all the way across the back window) with full name of school. I have a little one in a rear side window with abbreviation of school
I wore t-shirts and other college gear from my daughters’ schools, but I never put a decal on the car. Too easy for someone who is either offended by high-end schools, or who is a big booster a rival school, to vandalize my car when no one is around.
3 kids, 3 schools, 5 cars and zero decals, even on their individual cars.
I have decals for the universities for both of my daughters. Once I put one on for the first daughter, I was well aware that I had committed to putting on a second decal for my second daughter (and I did reserve a space for it). However, I did not put them on the window – I put them on the rear hatch below the window.
I also have one t-shirt each for each daughter’s school. I am very proud of each of them. 
No decals or bumper stickers on my car at all. I have license plate holders for my two colleges on my car. I bought DS and I non-matching school t-shirts and will wear mine for move in and there after. I plan on getting plate holders in the future for the kiddo for their colleges and cars.
We have a decal of OUR alma mater on our car. Kiddo can deface his own car if he wants when he gets one.
Well the then question is what decals are allowed by NY DMV? Parking stickers for private lots? National park passes? Passes to the dog park?
I have one for one of my kids - the other doesn’t want me to have one. The one I have is getting old and needs to be replaced. Why don’t make them for the inside of the window? I’ve tried to be gentle scraping snow, but my horse is losing his legs.

Taking D for her first move-in day 5 weeks from today. I’m waiting to see the sticker choices at the college store but will likely get one. Maybe I won’t put it on until I leave NY and head back south.
We had decals (the nice ones that just easily peel off…like Colorforms) on our cars when our kids attended colleges. Once they graduated, we tookmthem off.
We don’t have any decals now…but we have commuter mugs, and coffee cups, and hoodies.
I had one from my daughter’s conservatory on my back window until she graduated from grad school, but then my youngest totaled the car! Nothing on the new car…
I have a magnet for D2’s school (Lehigh), but not D1’s (Penn) for a simple reason. D2 brought a magnet home and stuck it on my car.
The only college decals I have on my car are parking passes from the previous owner’s D’s school. My kids are not fans of college stickers.
H’s car has decals from D’s HS, D’s college, and my college. The decal I bought for his college hasn’t yet made it on the car (and we’ve had it for six years).
My H still has college stickers for all 3 kids on his car. Until recently I had them (on rear hatch door, not window) but I had an accident and had to get the whole hatch door replaced, so no more stickers. Last one just graduated, so it was time I guess. Neither of us have them for our colleges. They have sparked a few conversations in parking lots, with parents who also had students at those schools or who were considering them.
A sticker for each kid’s high school and college on the back window. Also two baseball caps, one from each college (I threw away the caps from their high schools when they graduated). What can I say I am a regular kind of guy, lol.
On my old car I had my high school and college stickers on the window. I have a college sticker for my new car but haven’t put it on yet - it’s not my favorite one so I keep meaning to check the school store website and see if they have any others I like. I went to small schools up north and now live in FL so I love having my stickers in case I find anybody else from my schools. I am a big rah-rah school pride type person though so I will talk to anybody who I see with my school sticker - completely embarrases my kids! They aren’t in college yet but I am sure their stickers will go on my car when they get there.
