Car on Campus or no?

I am making my final decision between Auburn, Ohio State, & The University of Alabama… Yes I know it is really late but I am indecisive. One of the factors about Auburn is I am on the waiting list for on campus housing.

Do I need a car at Auburn?

I will be majoring in biomedical science/ pre med. I also plan on rushing in August, if I attend. But what is the campus situation with cars? When we toured it did not seem like you needed a car but the closest hospital to volunteer at is in Opelika.

Also what is sorority life like?

Bicycles, Bicycles, and more bicycles. Very bike friendly campus. Tiger transit buses run all over campus pretty much on time and quite often plus they makes regular trips to Tiger Town and other shopping areas off campus. Security shuttle runs in the evenings for free on call or thru smart phone app…also many of the off campus dorms are on a Tiger Transit line.

My son took his car but very seldom uses it - was only going to use to come back to Atlanta but has since discovered the Express85 shuttle from the Atlanta airport to Auburn so doesn’t even d

Oops - not sure about the volunteering at the hospital.

I have lived on campus for 3 years without a car and it’s been fine. BUT if you’re planning on doing independent volunteering/internship/etc off campus, you will probably need one.
