care to chance me for Yale?

k, so everything gradewise is still a bit sketchy...our school shows our gpa with the 1 through 100 scale, with points added for AP/honors/DC etc.
but fact is that I'm currently #2 out of 570
my first act was only a 33, but i'm taking one again this sept.
As far as AP's go:
Computer science 4, Chemistry 5, U.S. History 5, English lang. and comp. 5
Senior year classes: Gov/Economics AP, Psych AP, English lit. and comp. AP, Bio AP, Calc. BC AP...as well as others
ECs:
Honorable mention in the 2008 Chinese speech contest (city wide)
9th grade = JV tennis team, 10th = varsity
Student council 9-10
about 100 hr. of volunteer service
Mu Alpha theta (Math ntl. honor society) Junior vice pres. 10-11, vice pres 12

11th played hymns for church
worked at a nursing home 11th
11th VP of science national honor society
Science olympiad: 3rd in chem lab at invitational

8th at UIL invitational for science event
At UIL districts, top scorer in chemistry with perfect score
Selected by school to attend girls state

Sorry about the messiness...it's late :(
but i don't really like my resume b/c of the eccentricity...it took me awhile to really find something i enjoyed doing, thus the quitting of student council and the joining of interact club.

As an asian, it will be tougher for you (though not tougher than for asian male). Class rank looks good, but ACT could be worth a re-take. It’s by no means a necessity, but it would help. You do have a degree of leadership and a focus, but the ECs seem pretty cookie-cutter asian. Without major awards or other hooks, it’s hard to stand out. Maybe with extremely good essays, you’d have a chance, but so far your chances are not looking phenomenal for yale. Still, try for Yale SCEA, but don’t get your hopes too high. Really try to hone in on yourself and your passion with the essays and good luck.

thank you for you time  i definitely understand the competition to get into Yale…i’ll do my best, and if it’s not enough, then no loss

grades: good, i’ll assume.
scores: alright. (retaking will be good)
ECs: lacking commitment (or maybe cuz its just messy) but nice competitions/awards
volunteer hours: could have more

conclusion: reach, but definitely possible with good essays that make you stand out

thanks cailgirl
as far as ECs go, i recognize some may seem to lack commitment (i.e. student council and tennis) the reason for my quitting them was because i ended up with too much on my hands, and it did take a while before i actually found my “calling”, so to speak (science olympiad/ UIL).
So, should i explain this a bit in my additional info section on the common app? or just let it go so i don’t sound whiny?
