I don't think I've seen better stats on CC, and that's saying a lot.

[/QUOTE]

Clearly you haven't been on CC for long, as your profile also indicates.

I've been lurking for a while. Please link to any non-international superior profiles. Honestly, I doubt that there are many better profiles w/as much commitment and dedication to ECs. If the OP is not lying, most of the things listed are not fluff activities.

Yes, I will admit, this is insane by any standards. Nature...? Holy ****. But, I wouldn't go so far as to say that this is the best ever. He isn't the best for his age in any area, he has only taken an average course load by CC standards, he does not have a 4.0, he doesn't have an SAT of 2300+, he hasn't taken the SATII at all, he is not an Intel or Siemens winner/qualifier, and his community service is great, but not nationally recognized.

Despite all of this, I still think you have a good chance of getting in, but like everyone else, nothing is assured. Nature though, damn...

True, but he's still amazing, lol. He's going to be published in Nature!

co-published. But, still badass.

co-author in Nature... please, you are in high school. Unless you actually did significant work you shouldn't present it that way. Realize that the best professors/post docs at the top of their respective fields globally are the only ones SOMETIMES published, and are the only ones cited as co-authors in nature publications... unless you are some genius prodigy and nature decided to publish you... if that were true i'm pretty sure you wouldn't be posting asking for chances.

However if this is somehow true, expect Harvard admissions officers/President/board of trustees/famous alumni to be calling your residence soon, offering to fly you out first class in a private harvard jet, and literally get on their knees and beg you to attend.

ditto with the above. Nature? no comment...

Please. the peer review stage is where 99% of all papers are rejected.
OP is EPIC FAIL.

"Please. the peer review stage is where 99% of all papers are rejected."

True, the article I recently sent into Cell on the cure I discovered for cancer is being reviewed as we speak.

****, I hope it doesn't take the place of my new AIDS cure.

note that tho i am ACTUALLY a co-author, there are also 3 other authors along with me...if that sways your opinions?
and regardless, does anything else need improvement...specifically in the realm of stats...?
do you think i should mention that it got hectic during the waning months of the school year juggling research and school (a testiment to my end of junior year grades...)

also, my senior schedule
ap chem
ap calc ab
ap euro
ap physics
anatomy and phys
integrative (h) --> required humanities
and an outside community college Spanish course

Your chances are average. And, you know that being a CO-AUTHOR does not mean anything. Are you 1st? 2nd? 3rd? LAST?
Anyways, dont be too sad if your paper is rejected. Like I said, its VERY rare to get actually get accepted into Nature (even if you have submitted to a sub-journal of nature which is much easier to get into, but still difficult).
I know this because I am aiming to submit a paper to Science in a couple weeks.

I have to agree that his chances are average in my opinion. He's a little too well rounded, which is often a bad thing when you're up against applicants who aren't nearly as well rounded but excel in one or two fields.

Yay HoCo! (I saw your post on the Brown forum.)

You have incredible credentials; I'm sure that you'll do very well. Your research experience is amazing! (I echo the sentiment "Nature? Holy ****!") As someone who is looking to major in neuroscience, I'm really jealous. (: And congrats on doing lots of stuff in different areas! I think that you've got a great chance at virtually any school.

But being from your area, I have a question: did you win the Princeton Book Award, or were you just nominated for your school? Because I can't think of any of the other five winners who fits your profile...

Either way, it is worth mentioning 'cause it means that you're in high standing at your high school, but make sure that you express that this award was school-wide, not regional.

Stop Trolling :(

haha, yeah i was a nominee just for my school...there were only 2 from our grade, but i really bs-ed the application essays because i was too busy and heard the award was worth ****
and *** is trolling?
