Let’s say that your typical programmer makes $100,000 after 5 years. Most of the people where I work have at least a masters degree. That leaves you with $3 million after thirty years.

<p>I can’t help but point out the obvious flaw in 100k*30 years = 3 million dollars. Taxes? General living expenses?</p>
