Hello everyone,
I have been considering a career change from healthcare to business and I have a few questions, but let me give you a quick background.

I graduated with a BS in Chemistry (3.3 GPA)
Work as a medical assistant.
I have not taken the GMAT.

What steps should I take to improve my chances of getting into a well known b-school? Would getting an A.A. in business administration help?

Also, I have read that people should get their CFA before getting MBA, but this advice was given to students with a BS in BA (or to get CPA for accounting majors). Should I get CFA before MBA?

Is there any realistic chance of me getting into any of the top 30-50 B-schools?

Working as an MA involves administrative work, does that help my chances, or does it not play a factor?

No, CFA has nothing to do with MBA. You wouldn’t be able to get chartered anyways because it takes 4 years of relevant investment working experience and the CFA tests are harder to pass than getting into a top 30-50 B school.

Yes.

The kind of work you do makes no difference but make sure you are their best employee.

thank you for the “yes” response. Gives me hope!

Besides taking the GMAT and work experience, is there anything else I can do?

Should I retake some of my math classes, or take some extra math classes? I went up to differential equations, but did not take linear algebra.
