Career outlook: "computer field" -- is this done for, now?

<p>Thanks again for that added information on computer careers/majors. It's most useful. I copied earlier posts & sent to son..he's also logged on here (for the first time!) to read the added updates himself. </p>

<p>I know there are some new ideas for uses of computer education here that which neither he nor I were at all familiar with.</p>

<p>I work at one of those "outsourcers". We still need people in the US to talk to the customers.....</p>

<p>And on another note, D is doing her independent research in the Computational Neuroscience lab at Princeton. She has been asked to take some introductory CS. The study of the brain absolutely requires some complex programming. D won't do the complex stuff, but even as the interface to the humans in her research group she still needs to know how it works. Mom thinks to herself, "I told you so:).</p>
