Career Placement for Brown - Especially Engineering

Can someone point me to some detailed information on Brown’s placement success? I looked at this report:

[Class of 2011 Employment | CareerLAB](http://brown.edu/campus-life/support/careerlab/class-2011-employment)

It looks like only 25 engineering students secured FT jobs out of ~100? That seems low. Also, 143 education grads got jobs? Is that the biggest major and are they working or doing student internships/Teach Across America kinds of stuff?

Thanks!

You’re misreading the chart. 25 students got engineering jobs, not 25 engineering majors. Students concentrating in engineering probably also got jobs in technology, consulting, construction, science, environment, etc. And the 143 students who got education jobs weren’t all education concentrators, but studied a range of subjects.

To get more specific info, try going to the websites of the academic departments themselves.

Also, only about half the class of 2011 even responded to that survey.

Response rate was much better than 50%:

“CareerLAB’s survey of immediate post-graduate plans yielded information about 1,260 graduates from the class of 2011 out of a total class of 1,552 (a response rate of 81%).” [Class of 2011 Immediate Postgraduate Plans | CareerLAB](http://brown.edu/campus-life/support/careerlab/postgrad-data/class-2011-immediate-postgraduate-plans)

yep, I misread. Thought the number at the top of the first thing was the survey responders, didn’t realize it had removed people who said grad school or something else.
