Careers and Specialities in Medicine

Hey! I was wondering which types of doctors may work together? Like an ObGyn may work with a Pediatrician or a an ObGyn may work with a family medicine practitioner, etc. which other duet combinations are out there?

Not sure exactly what you’re asking, but here goes–

oncologists (including gynecologic oncologists who are OB/GYN subspecialists), radiation oncologists and surgeons all work together to put together a comprehensive treatment plans for cancer patients.

physiatrists (PMR physicians) work with orthopods, sports medicine specialists and podiatrists to help patients recover from physical injuries. They also work with neurologists who treat patients with cerebral palsy and other movement disorders.

anesthesiologists work with surgeons of all types (including urologists, ob/gyns and neurosurgeons)

neurologists and psychiatrists often overlap
