careers in biology

I know of some of the careers you can have with a BS in biology. I was looking into specializing in virology or endocrinology (diseases in general). I want a decent job, but I also do not want to have to spend 6 years to earn a PhD in order to be satisfied with my job. Help, maybe?

you could work for the CDC without a terminal degree, as far as I know.

I am a graduate with a BS in biology and if you seriously want to do something in the bio field, you'll definitely need a Ph.D.!

After I graduated, I searched for a year and half (sending out thousands of resumes all over the country) and I still cant land a job in the bio field! (I currently have a job that I could have got with just high school, and I needed to take it to repay student loans).

Trust me, I speak from experience, you will be competing with Ph.D.'s for simple lab/research assistant jobs because they are willing to settle for assistant jobs because the market out there for people with bio degrees is rapidly decreasing for some odd reason.

Working in research in academics pays ****. Do yourself a favor and go into Medicine, pharmacy, or the business side of industry with your degree.
