I have been thinking of going into the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals for a long time because I enjoy the sciences, but I don't want to go to school forever. What opportunities exist in these fields that are accessible through a master's degree? Also, how stable is the field, and how does it pay (in general)? Thanks a lot in advance.

b-tech and pharmaceuticals huh...well the one position i know of is that you can be market research associate (MRA). I couldn't tell you much about wages though. I interned for a consultancy that specialized in licensing services in the b-tech and pharma fields last summer. I could suggest some companies if you wanted to get a sense of the opportunities...

Some consulting, marketing, sales, or basic benchwork. You wouldn't be able to direct research.
