careers in orthopaedic surgery?

How much school does that take? lol! I have NO idea what i want to do with my life, but i've gotten into a pretty good school with great medical oppurtunities and I'm considering this. Just so you know, I'm also considering archaeology, culinary arts, law, teaching, architecture, and fashion design. I think my first year of college is pretty much going to consist of a variety of classes so i can get an idea of what i actually want to do!

4 years undergrad, 4 years medical school, 1 year general surgery internship, 4 years of ortho residency. Add 1-2 years for a fellowship (most orthos pursue one) in things like pediatrics, hand, foot/ankle, spine, or sports medicine among others. So between 13-15 years (though you do get paid for the last 5-7).

Thanks! What about an ob/gyn?
