<p>I am doing some collge close shopping and was going to get a pair or two of cargo shorts, but there seems to be a general dislike for them. Why? </p>
<p>Also, where would be a good place/brand to get an 11 inch inseem khaki short not cargo?</p>

<p>Its like wearing abercrombie and american eagle when you are over 30. There comes a time to do away with ugly clothes and college is the perfect opportunity to do that.</p>

<p>I don’t wear cargo shorts myself. I’m a pants guy almost all the time, come to think of it; jeans, or chinos/khakis. I think that Bermuda shorts look better than cargo shorts, but I don’t think there’s necessarily something wrong with wearing cargoes, especially if you’ve got the need for those extra pockets.</p>
<p>Buy your damn cargo shorts. When the Greeks and h8ters try to reach into their pocket to grab a beer and find none. You can reach in 20 of your pockets and save the day.</p>

<p>Actually, cargo shorts are very pragmatic for boys with lots to carry. And they snap shut. </p>
<p>In our area, snatch and grab crimes near metros, on the streets, in shopping malls are very much on the rise. The cargo shorts pockets do allow you to have a modicum of protection.</p>
<p>Now if men’s chinos could enlarge their pockets and add an unobtrusive method to close them (internal zip, velcro, or snap), yes, I vote chinos all the way. Plus they don’t hang down so low…</p>

<p>They’re big, bulky, long, and generally unattractive. I wore them until the middle of high school, when I realized that I didn’t like they way they looked anymore and regular 7-9’’ kakhi shorts looked a whole lot better. Cargos don’t convey the image I want to portray to people, especially adults.</p>
<p>I don’t see how you could possibly have to carry so much stuff that cargos are necessary. If you have that much stuff, it’s time to put a backpack on.</p>
<p>PS. I’m of the camp that thinks American Eagle, Hollister, Aeropostale, and Abercrombie should be donated to charity after high school, or freshman year of college max.</p>

<p>Man, cargo shorts are possibly the best thing ever to have when you’re working in a lab. It’s pretty nice being able to be able to throw a few wrenches, a screwdriver or two, and a couple of miscellaneous bolts, and a sample or two into your pockets and not have to worry about accidentally misplacing something.</p>
<p>lol, there’s nothing wrong with cargo shorts. i wear them all the time. but if i’m going out somewhere with friends or family then obviously not. but for casual wear, they’re pretty good.</p>

<p>Could some people post some links to chino shorts though? I’m looking for a 10 to 11 inch inseem because I want to cross between something I can wear with ascis (running shoes) and boats and a polo if I want to dress them up.</p>
