Carl Becker 3rd Floor...Suite or Hall?

hey, sorry for another housing thread but...

I just got housing to transfer me to Becker...I'm on the 3rd floor....does anyone know if that's a suite or hall? And if its a hall, are halls coed or something?

NO WAY!!!! we'll be on the same floor :) haha that's great, congrats... glad it worked out!

woah same floor?

hmm....i guess its a coed hall then.....right? Or is it suites?

there's a letter, "D" right after the room number. I guess thats a suite?

all floors are co-ed. if there is a letter after your room then it's a suite.

wavebrk your hotelie right?

nahh....im ILR. are you a hotelie?

soo what's the layout of a suite in Becker?

Life is GOOD!

So I know one of the dorms on West has a gym...can we use that gym?

The suite I went to (on the third floor of Becker) had the bedrooms along a contained hallway as well as a bathroom. The hall ended in a common room for the suitemates to share.

so like 5 kids - one shower? Or what? And how big is the bathroom?

Dunno. I went to a party there but don't remember much from the night.

That's a good sign for the social scene there at least lol.

Figgy- The Noyes Community Center (it is not a dorm) has its own gym on west. It's the newest gym on campus (1 semester old) and is really nice, I went there a lot last semester. You can use that gym when you buy a gym membership from Cornell. Noyes Community Center also has a convenience store (with great cheesecake) and an area for rock climbing, ping pong, and air hockey. And right next door is the West Side Grill which has amazing food when you're drunk and is open until 3AM.

And in Becker, the suites have 3 singles and one double and you have your own bathroom for the five of you. For the rooms in Becker that are not in a suite you share a bathroom with a couple of other people on your floor and it gets cleaned everyday.

wavebrk i want to be a hotelie '12...

Wow open until 3am!?!?!? My other school's little hang out was only open until 1 am on weekends and like 10 on weekdays. That's awesome!

Thanks for the info! The gym paragraph made me excited!

-wow I just looked on the map and Noyes is RIGHT next to Becker! Awesome!

um, that's the old noyes. it was demolished last year. the new noyes is at the south edge of west campus. a bit far, i think.

yeah but the new noyes is a three minute walk away from becker.

Double-you tee eff mate!?

Oh well three minutes isn't that far. How long of a walk is ILR from Becker? I have no concept of distance when I see that little standard issue map in the back of the big course book.
