EC's: Mostly music/band - nothing outstanding, but he loves it & that probably showed.</p>
<p>Son got waistlist letter today. I think it was largely due to no demonstrated interest -- he liked Carleton okay in theory, but has been much more drawn to Reed and Chicago. Statwise, he's a 3.9 unweighted, SAT's in the mid-high 700's. No AP's, school didn't offer them, but a lot of outside coursework, at Stanford and other schools.</p>

<p>I previously posted (#123) my son's stats by copying the previous post & editing, but goofed on the GPA. </p>
<p>He has a 97.43 GPA, which would basically translate to a 4.0.</p>
<p>Congratulations to all who have been accepted. My junior daughter has thrived at Carleton. Should you choose to attend, I suspect that you won't be disappointed. Carls are very loyal, indeed.</p>

<p>D was accepted, she's barely home so asked me to post. We visited in the fall and she really liked it, just has a few more schools to wait for. Also, FA was reasonable. Her stats: 4.0 UW, about 4.5 W GPA, 2290 Sat I, 800, 790, 710 Sat II. School doesn't rank. Lots of performing art type EC's: dance, choir plus volunteer and leadership stuff. Congrats to all who were accepted, it looks like a great group.</p>
