When does Carleton release RD results?
April 1
Yes, April 1st of course is the stated release date, but the admissions people said to keep looking on your portal in March because they typically release early. I just was wondering if anyone had checked earlier years to see how early.
On the thread “Admissions Notification Dates 2016” the list states that Carleton has mailed decisions March 18 and March 19 in 2014 and 2015. In those years it appears that the portal is not updated until end of March.

“First of all, your application is complete and in order. We’re giving it a thorough review and plan to post the decision online on Saturday, March 26 at 5:00pm CST.* We know that’s weeks away, but we hope this note assures you that everything’s on track.”
My DD got the same email. This part was nice but I know it doesn’t mean anything at all:
“Now, don’t stop thinking about tomorrow or anything, but do give yourself a moment to relax. We’re impressed precisely because we know you’ve given your best effort. Give yourself some credit.”
If the decision will be posted online on the 26th, when do you guys think it will be mailed to us?

A tip for the parents - if you’re there for a visit on a non-major weekend, you can arrange for a room in the Alumni Guest House above Admissions. Nicer rooms, in my opinion, than Archer House.
Alright so according to last year decisions started coming in Mar. 20, so 7 days everyone…7 days…

Keep an eye on the Carleton College Twitter account. For ED, they posted a photo of the envelopes, as they were about to be posted.
Hi everyone! I’m from Florida and also anxiously waiting to hear…I was deferred from ED1 so I know that I’m on the boarder. I really fell in love with the school when I toured in October, best of luck to you all! 12 days if the March 26 date is accurate!

What do folks think, will they wait unitl 4/1 to release decisions?
No. Last year people started getting them by march 20.
Apparently application decisions were mailed today. X_X will they be posted online as well?
