Hi,
So I handed in my application to transfer to CSOM in Minneapolis. I am currently a freshman at the University (so 18 years old) but after this semester I will have credits of a first semester junior. I am really worried about getting in and was wondering if someone else, besides for my friends, family and I, to analyze my application and stats.
GPA: 3.5
Credits as of Fall 2013: 59
Since I will be technically applying as a Junior for next year, they will not be looking at my High school GPA or ACT score.
I was president of my youth group at my temple for the year 2012-2013 and was on various positions years before
I currently have been working at a marketing consulting firm for over a year, since December 2012, as an assistant marketing analyst.
I have been working at the Minnesota Daily as the director of survey and research since August 2013
I also volunteer with an organization for special needs children and adults.
I have 2 letters of recommendations from top management at the marketing firm and one letter of rec from a coworker at the marketing firm who is a CSOM alum. I have a letter of rec from the president of the MN Daily and a letter of rec from my youth group adviser. I also have a letter of rec from a tenured professor in the graduate school.
My personal essay I believe was written very well. I edited it about 15 times, so I believe that it is the best that it can be.

I know my GPA is not the average, which is 3.77. But I know they take work experience, leadership experience and volunteer experience into high consideration with applications as well. Overall, how does my application look?
I personally believe it stands out especially with my work experience. The transfer advisers had told me that most of the time the average student has work experience at a caribou coffee or target.

Any comments would be great. I'm pretty freaked out just because my GPA is a bit below average which I know makes a pretty big difference.
