I am so excited..........can't wait to start!!!!

Neither can I! I wonder why the CC guys havent created a sub-forum yet, I noticed one for Columbia for up and running.

Good job guys!

I am pleased and privileged to have to opportunity to go to school with all of you.

Now all I have to worry about is the huge sum of money....

theotherguy do u still remember the tension when we posted our chances thread?..............hahahhahahaahha now its all over.........how many predicted that you would get in?

Yes. I think it's because this site isn't a very representative sample of the general population applying to CMU. Only the people who care enough about it log into this site, creating response bias which makes us think the average applicant is better than what it really is.

crap, my parents are saying that they don't intend to pay for it, and don't want me to take out student loans, so I shouldn't be so "gung ho". They say they will wait for the financial aid packet and if its too little, they won't let me go.

:(

I am so happy right now!!!! All my work in high school finally payed off, a lot.

I can't really describe how happy I am right now.

Everyone is in the Facebook group, right?

You mean the "Accepted: Carnegie Mellon Class of 2012" group, or is there another group too?

Yep, that one.

y do u like cows so much?

Because my last name is Mu, as in moo, as in the sound a cow makes.

The profile pic is the Gentoo Linux unofficial mascot.

anybody got $200,000 laying around that I can use to attend this school pretty please?

The total cost of attending this university exceeds the total mortgage of my house, which my family has been paying off for 10 years. The tuition exceeds my total family income.

I really hope I can convince financial aid to cover a significant portion of this, but I know they won't. Looks like scholarships and a massive student loan for me.
