“around the 17th” can mean the 18th or 19th, etc. UHG!!! CMU has really been disappointing in the way they have handled these decision releases. Every time someone calls or emails - there is a different response. Not what I would expect from CMU.

[Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission - College, University - Pittsburgh, PA | Facebook](Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission) now says in two responses:

“You should be able to see your decision online by Dec. 17.”

“Decision display online 4 days after letters leave our office. Most ED 1 applicants will see their decision online by Dec. 17.”

That means most letters were sent out Tuesday - 4 days before Dec. 17.

Thanks Hawaiian!!

Didn’t get my decision in the mail today :(

Where do you live?

Sounds like they sent it via UPS so it wouldn’t come with your regular mail.

so is it supposed come faster?

Not really, depends on how fast your UPS driver delivers

I live in South Carolina. Hopefully i’ll get it later today by UPS.

How do you know they’re using ups?

I live in Pittsburgh and just called the office of admissions since I didn’t get my letter in the mail today. The officer told me that they sent them starting two days ago but they are currently processing all the mail. Apparently the mail was sorted randomly and thus location doesn’t really matter in determining who gets their decision first. She said they would be ready to view online of the 17th though so i guess we won’t be waiting TOO much longer. I really wished they took care of this more efficiently -_-;.

There’s so much conflicting speculation on here - this is ridiculous.

did anyone here get a decision lmao? judging by the amount of views, there has to be at least 100 perspective students on this thread. ANYONE??

Someone should call and demand the admission office say his/her decision over the phone xD.

getting angry at the admissions… they said it would come by the 15th…

they said on their facebook page that they’re using UPS

[Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission - College, University - Pittsburgh, PA | Facebook](Carnegie Mellon Office of Admission) says they’re using UPS for international students. I find it hard to believe there using it for US students.

yes cc is back!

1905Hawaiian: I find that hard to believe too. They are probably using priority USPS or first class.

For almost parts of the country the date that the letter will arrive is Thursday (assuming it was all mailed on Tuesday)

So you’ll find out tomorrow if you are doing EDI. As for online results, I’d check around 10AM EST (but I’m not doing EDI)

tl;dr Decisions (most likely) coming out online tomorrow

Someone from my school already got his decision online. They must be staggering the releases or something…
