Carnegie Mellon 2016 Questions

Hey, I'm planning on applying to H&SS but I have a lowish GPA lots of AP classes and stellar SAT Scores. I know that it would probably be in my best interest to apply EDI or II, however I my SAT scores were 600+ but not where I wanted them 720+. And I did not take the required Math I or II.
So I was wondering if I can still apply for the Early Decision II deadline (Dec 1st) and send in my scores later? I know that probably seems ridiculous and does not make any sense but I'm just asking.

My GPA is my main problem, and I know applying ED would heighten my chances of getting in, but I do not think it is possible due to my SAT II dilemma.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You need the SAT II scores. When’s the next SAT II date?
Also how low is a low GPA?

I’m sorry I meant IS or CFA. that’s where I want to apply.
My GPA is Around 3.24 unweighted. 8 APs by the end of this year honors courses did two french courses in one year. SAT=700 math and reading 750 writing.
World history 600 us history 630. (retaking). Essays so far= excellent so are recommendations.
How stiff is competition for piano at CFA? How about IS? should I get an interview? Would that heighten my chances

CFA is really difficult but not GPA/test score based. You should be fantastic at performance.

IS isn’t as competitive as the other schools but you should try to aim for higher test scores to make up for your lack-luster GPA. You’re not doomed but you do need to get everything else as polished as possible to increase your chances.
