<p>So CMU requires you to submit both your supplements and your payment before allowing you to submit your Common App. On January 1st, I had already submitted my supplements and as I was submitting my payment, it hit 12:00 am. When I went back to submit my Common App, the website told me that the deadline had already passed and I couldn't submit my Common App anymore. I have already sent an email to Carnegie Mellon asking about this, but they haven't replied yet.
So I was wondering, should I keep waiting for them to get back to me or should I call them and explain even though it's been like 3 days? What are the odds they would accept my Common App at this time?</p>

<p>First of all, you shouldn’t have cut so close to the deadline.
Lecture is done.</p>

<p>Now, if it’s been three days, I suggest calling. Many people have the same issues as you do, and the admissions office has probably not been able to finish going through all the emails they have received.
The odds that they will accept it? Decent, though I’m not so sure. Some schools, like Brown and UPenn, are lenient (UPenn sent me an email today telling me I could submit by January 9th). Others might not be.</p>
