***Carnegie Mellon Celebration of Diversity Weekend***

I have been accepted and I wanted to discuss a couple of things with others who have been accepted.

Please join!

Congrats! I have applied, but have not received anything other than the “thank you for registering and we look forward to meeting you email”. Hopefully I receive something soon.

@math3matical
Cool, good luck

@math3matical
Did you get accepted in this program?

I don’t think so. I have not gotten an acceptance letter :frowning: @Shabeezy

@Shabeezy Do you know if there were two sessions for the celebration of diversity weekend? I can’t remember if there was also one in January or something (I may have signed up for this one).

@math3matical
The one in January is only for students who have been accepted into the school through ED, so you must have signed up for the November one. Email them because I think you should have been informed by now

@Shabeezy I sent an email. I really wanted to get into this program, but I can only hope for the best and wish you a fun trip!

@Shabeezy I emailed them and they sent me a link to the travel assistance form. I hope this means they are still considering me!

The trip is coming up! Anyone else going?

Hi, I’m posting for my daughter. She was accepted and received travel assistance. We will be calling today to make travel arrangements.

@bridgettg
Great!

It turns out you didn’t have to apply ED to be considered for the January Diversity Weekend! My place is still reserved. I just have to turn in my application by January 1st. Oh my, I hope I get financial aid to go! Right when I thought all hope was lost… @Shabeezy

@math3matical
I went on the one in November. Beautiful, small campus. There are so many geniuses there

Woohoo! I just got notified that I will be attending the January Diversity Weekend with travel assistance! @Shabeezy

I got the travel assistance. Yay! I applied in December (so not ED). I’m in California, so the weather will be quite the change for me.

See you there! @AAloneOrchid

Definitely pack for extreme cold. @AAloneOrchid

I don’t know how many CCers (let alone catholics) are going to the sleeping bag night this weekend, but I just thought I would put it out there that if anyone who is going is Catholic and wanting to go to church Sunday night, the Newman club has offered to walk any interested prospective students to mass, and pizza/discussion afterwards.

Also there is no snow right now, but it is supposed to be cold and rainy.
