Carnegie Mellon Chances?

Hi, I am a senior girl wondering about my chances for Carnegie Mellon! (I’m going for the college of science, potentially to pursue a physics-related major.)

PSAT: 1480
Sat Score: 1520
Sat subject tests: Math II - 800, Physics- 760, Spanish- 740
AP Scores (although I know these are relatively unimportant for admissions): Chemistry-3, Calculus BC- 5, Physics I- 5, Physics II- 4, Spanish-5

GPA: unweighted- 4.0 . weighted- 4.38

Significant Coursework:
AP Chem, Phys I &2, Bio, Calc BC, and Spanish
Enhanced Multivariable Calculus Senior Year

Extracurriculars: Community Service executive board (multiple letters, several hundred hours), Special Olympics, President of the Thespian Troupe, Environmental Club

Hi also a senior girl wondering about chances. I am going for scenic design- I heard that grades aren’t as important?

The average ACT score for CMU is 32. The lowest 25th percentile is 30.

A score of 24 means that over 90% of admitted students scored higher than you. So, you’ll need to bring that score up to be considered.

CMU is a difficult school to get into for anybody, but you have great scores all around. I think it’s a reach for you depending on the exact school you apply to, but it isn’t a high reach.
