Carnegie Mellon Chances

<p>Hey, I've been wanting to apply to Carnegie Mellon since I found out about it, and it would be much appreciated if you could lend me some insight on my chances, thanks, here are my stats:</p>

<p>SATI 2310 800M 740CR 750W</p>

<p>SATII Physics 790, Math 2 800, Chem 750.</p>

<p>GPA 102.25%, Highest GPA in class is 103.14%, putting me in the top 3% out of 800 students.</p>

<p>Course Load:
Junior Year: AP Physics - 5
AP BC Calculus - 5
AP Statistics - 5
AP Psychology - 5
AP English Language - 5
AP US History - 3 (not good, but I figure I'm applying to a tech school anyways ;P)</p>

<p>Senior Year: Multivariable Calculus at Local University
Linear Algerbra at Local University
AP Government and Politics
AP Environmental
AP Biology
AP English Literature
Honors French :P</p>

Science Olympiad Team A Captain (Went to Nationals 5 times, and won 3 national metals)
Spending a Year doing Cancer Research at a local University

Fluent in C++ and Java (our school doesn't have the AB CS course, so I'll just be taking it this spring on my own)
Karate since I was 6, I now teach at my dojo
Guitar since I was 5, I'm in a band with some friends, and we released an unsigned album at our school last spring</p>

<p>I know my EC's lack focus, and I was unable to take French in my junior year because of Calculus, but if you guys could tell me what you think, it would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>The CS AB exam was discontinued. :(</p>

<p>Anyways you seem to be in decent shape. What school at CMU are you looking at? Anywhere but SCS you have an excellent chance. SCS…well that’s tough, but you could definitely get in. Sci Olympiads is good, research could also be good if you win anything.</p>
