If we didn’t get this in our portal, are we going to be rejected?

Perkins Loan Promissory Note
Well, we will find out soon. I got the other two, but not Perkins Loan Promissory Note.
Does anyone have the financial know how as to what the difference between all these loans are.
Also to everyone checking if they have this REMEMBER it will only appear if you APPLIED for financial aid and COMPLETED the whole financial aid application. Otherwise you can’t get this. Honestly, I think we are all reading too much into this. Its probably nothing (at least think that way until decisions come out )
@nandroida For Federal Stafford loan the max per year starting freshman: 5,500, 6,500, 7,500, 7,500, 7500. http://studentaid.psu.edu/types-of-aid/loans/stafford/loan-limits
@nandroida
Not to continue initiating this FA discussion but what you posted above isn’t the case for me. My FA is missing a couple of the requested documents yet the Master Promissory Note, Entrance Counseling, and Perkins Loans have all appeared. But like everyone said, it shouldn’t be worth worrying over (: We’ll all know very soon!
@melodychang
Drats, I was missing the Student Tax Return and thought that could be why the documents didn’t show up yet. Thats unfortunate for me loool. Oh well, we’ll see what happens.
3 days to go. Days are going by way too slowly. ):
Edit: And they FINALLY fixed my address but now there’s a random space in the last word. Brilliant.
Sooo, Did people start getting FAT letters? (International here, just curious to know what is going on in the states)
They only mailed them out today. I wouldn’t expect anyone to receive one today.
I live in Pittsburgh, so I’ll check the mail tonight. Eagerly awaiting SOMETHING.
Does anyone’s FAFSA say received 3/25 even if it said received 3/5 before?
if I am in PA, is there any chance I will receive the mail by tomorrow?
@LightYagami0519 Depends on where in PA, but yes. I’ve had friends recieve them they day after they’re sent before.
First Class mail in the US is typically 1-3 days. It can vary from that, of course. Two other schools on our list mailed yesterday, so we are a bit anxious here. Another is online today.
anyone applied to DC?
Last year, CMU sent Fat Letter via priority mail and all others (reject, & waitlist) via first class mail.
Time is so compressed for spring break next week. If kiddo gets accepted I have half a mind to just pop him on a plane Sunday and let him find a place to crash near campus so he can see what it’s like. Is there a hotel or hostel or other within walking distance of campus??
I know what you mean @patertrium. Planning a road trip as soon as we know our options. Spring break next week for both my senior and my Cornell junior. He can come along for the fun.
UCSD’s “Triton Day” is Saturday the 4th and I’d want him to be able to sit in some classes Friday the 3rd before attending that event. Not to mention if he gets into Rice that could be yet another stop. He’d be rackin’ up the frequent flyer. Or all of this could be a moot point with a thin envelop. Hay chihuahua.
Did anyone else apply Undecided or Undecided Engineering? I applied for the latter because I wasn’t sure which branch of Engineering I wanted to pursue and then I properly went through CMU’s website. Turns out it says that they strongly recommend applicants to indicate a major when applying. Do you think not doing that could possibly hurt an applicant’s chances? ):
