@spadeillusion What about dual majors and minors? Could you elaborate on that?
Thank you!

Thank you!
@CougarCatClan Congrats! How exciting!
@spadeillusion very helpful!
My experiences are very similar to this.
@spadeillusion @MandomeLife thank you both! What about school spirit, is there a lot of it?
@bssurly - how do you define “school spirit”?
@SkepticalOfMost I guess just like if people get excited for sports events, have a lot of pride for CMU, etc.
So my son is treking up to CMU on Thurs (by long distance bus) to check out the campus, his prospective department, and sit in on a class. He can’t do any of the admitted student days since it would require missing too much school (this week he is on break).
Any suggestions on things he should abolutely see?
I received my financial aid award yesterday online, but today when I checked it says it is not ready yet… does that mean they messed up and are changing it? I’m kind of worried
i still have not received any emails even though i was accepted has anyone?
Also there was no financial information in the FAT packet?? Any ideas when we get notified about financial aid?
No emails, just checked online yesterday and my financials was posted, but today it says not ready…
I had the financial notification, and the first time around I clicked on it, it asked for attestations, which I did. The second time around after the decisions were released, it showed everything and scholarships/tuition/etc., but at the bottom of the document it said that they were still processing so this financial aid package is “tentative” until they have all of the documents they need. Now, when I click on it, it says “failed to load PDF document”. Should I be concerned??
SAME
Still haven’t received my FAT packet guys. Really worried. Do you think they had second thoughts about me and decided to reject me?
@wormholes – you should call admissions tomorrow.
@psycholing Okay Do you think they accepted me accidentally?
Probably it is more likely that your letter went awry in the mail. True story: my post office ALWAYS loses registered mail. Recently a state agency was paying me for a consulting job, and they insisted on sending the check registered/signature required USPS. I tried to tell them about my post office’s abysmal track record, but they would not believe me. Sure enough the check is now officially lost. The tracking says it went out for delivery last week… and then never heard from again. Of course no signature. I told the state agency to find it or send me a new check.
So the Moral is-- letters can get lost!
Received accepted email
i’m still unsure of how to check financial aid status. am i supposed to sign out of my portal and use the new id they gave me to login back in to a different page which contains my financial info? or is there supposed to be a financial aid decision button that shows up in the portal when that info becomes available?
