Carnegie Mellon Class of 2021 Applicants Discussion Thread

@sidthekid178787

It’s there on this post by a CMU student: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/carnegie-mellon-university/1581081-before-you-post-cmu-faq-p1.html

What’s the acceptance rate this year? And what is the rate for SCS and CIT? I didn’t see any published numbers yet.

@SkepticalOfMost what you said is so so true!

" But I sense the real pride comes from the sense of accomplishment/survival/work ethic/learning that comes with a CMU degree. It seems to be a common feeling among CMU students/grads - they know they’ve been through a grinder, survived and are ready to take on the next challenge. It’s a strength of the CMU ‘network’ - they seek each other out because of the shared experience."

My D will be graduating in May and she is quite proud of her tenacity and accomplishments. She’s been through the grind for sure and her general sense and those of other students is that the working world will be much less stressful than their time at CMU!! Over the years, she’s loved it, and hated it. But she also knows that she has been given a great opportunity and leg up. Her degree from CMU is highly valued, as evidenced by the numerous job offers she has gotten.

do u think it carnegie can be compared with Calpoly

Anyone get priority waitlist here for info systems?
