I think your EC’s will definitely stand out… Try to get the GPA a little higher, nab a few more SAT points, and you should be a shoo-in. :)

Good chances - no guarantees, but definitely in the running. Just curious, since you did AP/EA, does that mean you can apply EA and find out super early? Is there any reason you aren’t doing that? (I guess if you want the ED benefit, that makes sense…just curious, though!)

Carnegie Mellon is known for its Compsci and getting in there is practically impossible for anyone who doesn’t have PERFECT scores. Or at least that’s what past seniors have told me. My friend had a 3.9 UW GPA and a 2300 with volunteer hours and leadership positions in numerous extracurriculars but she still didn’t get in. Your SAT score is really good, maybe not the best but it’s better than most including mine(: Your chances are amazing with that SAT score and your extra curriculars. But I think if you were to apply to SCS you’ll probably have a less chance of getting in than if you were to apply to the other two schools just because the SCS is so competitive.

The reading score was from missing nothing but sentence completions >.< i have bad memory so I doubt I’ll be able to memorize 5000 sat words in time x_X

Everything is solid right now, since senior year is starting so my GPA is stuck :stuck_out_tongue: and my parents wont let me retake the sat ._.

anyhow, should I add the carnegie mellon transcript onto my gpa? I can choose to do so or just send it in separately - because if I do so, my uw goes down but my w goes up. i’m definitely keeping the Bs though since 18-100 is well known for its difficulty as a weeder class

Bumpppp :P
