**Carnegie Mellon ED Discussion Thread 2014**

anyone in this thread live in penn? besides @thelonecoder haha

im from ca

@pevsis‌ ya haha we’ll see tomorrow and hopefully they post online before the 16th too lol

I’m just wondering but you would guys rather receive notification online or through the mail?

Mail. But it seems like that won’t be the case.

Mail here too. I wonder why they still haven’t released any info about when they are releasing decisions, seems kinda weird lol

Honestly, it doesn’t really matter to me. I guess if I’m accepted I’d like to get a letter eventually (just to have it, you know?), but for first finding out, online and mail are kind of equal.

I just want to know… I ahve no motivation 2 do anythin until I find out… even do other applications

The CMU admissions facebook page reply to ED decision letter query is: Applicants will know on Dec 15th!

@takanuva can u give us a link?

get rid of space

apparently SCS had 700 applicants for 25 spots? 3.57%? that’s what my mom just told me haha

where did your mom get those stats? and thats kinda scary lol. I wish all SCS applicants good luck!

Dafuq that’s less than the average 5-6%… fml

@weiyourenma‌ i doubt that’s true.

According to their common data set, total number of kids applied ed including scs, cit, is, and all the other schools was 965

Question C21

I’d believe that a large percentage of those 965 were SCS, but maybe not 700. Hopefully.

And 342 out of the 965 were admitted

For 2013, 353 out of 1083 were admitted.

well scs is probably the most popular ED choice and the number of applicants continuously grows each year…sigh
