They start sending out letters on the 11th. Mosty people in PA get them on that day. The West Coast gets them much later, and even states around PA don’t get them on that day. They then put the decisions out on the Where am I in the process? on the 15th, so anyone who hasn’t yet gotten a letter can get the decision that way.

Also, apparently all the letters (accept, reject, and defer) are thin, normal sized envelopes for ED, so don’t freak out if you get a thin envelope!

Thanks for the info. I’ve been checking this forum for new info every day for two weeks…and I think I can safely assume that I’m not the only one. Good luck to everybody!

So…what’s everyone planning to do to deal with disappointment on the 15th? (I stole this question from the UPenn thread, just like the previous one was stolen from Harvard.) I’m thinking I’ll find as many other people as I can who didn’t get into their ED school and commiserate with them. Then I guess I’ll just finish the rest of my RD applications. I’ve got first drafts of all the essays written, but I can’t find the motivation to finish them because I’m hoping I wont have to.

Anyone have any other ideas?

And now I’ve made three posts in a row…oh well.

I emailed them with a question about my interview supplement essay and they got back to me really quickly. I haven’t asked when they’re releasing the decisions, tho, if that’s what you’re asking.

Hey guys,
I’m worried sick. According to the “Where Am I In The Process”, the committee has not pulled and reviewed my folder yet!!! What do you guys have?!

Applied to Dietrich College of HSS… Heard the admission is much easier than other majors at CMU…
Anyhow so nervous… Just a week left guys. Best of luck for y’all!

Good luck to you too desperado3223! I’m definitely a bit (heh, maybe a little more than a bit–okay, a lot more than a bit) nervous too. I can’t believe there’s only a week left!
