***Carnegie Mellon ED Discussion Thread***

Aww…thank you. I couldn’t see it.

According to the CMU Admission Twitter page, decision letters were sent out earlier this week. Results will be posted online on the 15th. So close!

Just now spoke to some one in Admissions office. Letters started going out from 11th and still being mailed out even today. Results can be checked online on 15th.

Well, no letter for my D today. I guess it’s another day of waiting, at least.

I got my letter…accepted into DC!

Techiekid - where do you live?

I live in Pittsburgh, I got my letter yesterday. Accepted to MCS! :)

I live near Pittsburgh.

D Accepted to CIT Class of 2017 So excited.

Letter comes in standard envelope but has several supplements so is pretty thick.

Please can everyone include their city or state in their posts… that way we will be able to track these decision letters as they cross the country. I’m on the coast in California.

suburb of Philadelphia is location will post stats later. good luck to all

https://ribbs.usps.gov/modernservicestandards/ssmaps/find_map.cfm

Enter 152 PITTSBURGH, PA as originating city. Then hit “display map” to see how many days the letter will take to reach you.

According to the map, it should take three days for us. Now, I wonder which day it was mailed?

To those who were admitted, did your envelopes come with anything besides the decision letter?

It was mailed on the 11th. So that’s tomorrow… I live in Southern California too.

@FateGoneAwry16 I guess I can’t private message w/o having 15 posts, so I’ll just reply here.

I had actually already looked at your thread out of curiosity and, like some of the others who responded, think you’re certainly a match (if not over qualified).

For your self-assurance, and I guess anyone else’s interest, my SAT I was a modest 1970. I think the main attributes of my application that got me in were my high GPA and class rank (1st at the time of my submission) and demonstrating an interest in CMU by my participation in the PreCollege program and having an interview.

Goodluck to all!

So it looks like a denial letter will be thin and an acceptance letter will be thicker, both the same size. BTW from N. California, ED applying to SCS. Hoping letter in mail tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone.

SoCal here, I hope I’ll get the mail tomorrow, or get to see it online. CROSSING MY FINGERS.
phoebelmoon, go see The Hobbit! I think we all need a break from all this waiting. Although I want to do nothing more than skip school and stalk mail trucks tomorrow.

Congrats to all who were accepted! :)

Good luck everyone!

I think it would benefit future applicants if everyone posted their stats (standard formats in other university threads)…maybe in a separate thread.

Hope it’s good news…

Did anybody’s CMU Where am I in the process change? I now have a list of financial documents I need to send in. Is this normal for everyone or does it mean I was accepted?
