Carnegie Mellon for Pre-Med

After my rejections from both Duke and Berkeley, I received my acceptance from the Melon College of Science. I was ambivalent at first, but Mellon's beginning to appeal to me. I'm hoping to go into medicine, and I know that MCS students have an 85-90% acceptance into Med School. Should I be happy about this acceptance or should I be looking for other options?
Also, I'd greatly appreciate it if any of you can tell me about life at and around CMU.

85-90% is pretty high lol. It might be worth it

Take with a grain of salt college claims about med school acceptance rates.

CMU has a strong rep. Sciences are generally good but not nearly as strong as engineering and CS programs. Students tend to have more love it/hate it reactions than at most schools. Lots to do off campus. Pitt next door (that is, city and UPitt). But lots of late nights studying on campus.

CMU is a great school and is in a great city. My cousin went there and I do believe it's kind of a book worm "nerd" school, that studies hard and doesn't party hard. The social life is what you make it, joining clubs, activities, and sports is your prerogative; that in and of itself determines the kind of college experience you'll have.

have a good friend at CMU for engineering
he loves it...but he parties at Point Park or PItt

Mr. Rogers neighborhood is a great place to learn.
