<p>Carnegie Mellon & Priority Waitlist </p>

<p>I was just put on the CMU priority waitlist. Can anyone offer any insight into the chances of being accepted off the priority list? I applied to CIT, so I'm guessing I will only be chosen if people defer admissions to CIT. Perhaps someone has experienced this before. </p>

<p>Also, I did not visit CMU but now I am considering it if I am chosen off the waitlist. Anyone have any opinions, good or bad? Thanks</p>

<p>btw, I plan to major in either chemical or mechanical engineernig</p>

<p>15% of kids on the wait list last year were accepted.</p>

<p>is that 15% just the priority? or the entire waitlist? also do you know what % of people on the waitlist are on the priority waitlist?</p>

<p>I am also wondering this, i didn’t really think of trying to visit cmu unless i was accepted, but now that im on the proity waitlist, i think it would be a good idea to try. I know the sleeping bag sunday is april 10th but is that only open to admitted students?</p>
