i think they mean that SAMS students are required to live in university housing…meaning that we have no choice where we stay. we cannot commute…but pre-college stidents have an option of staying in the dorms or commuting to class

Got an e-mail from CMU, there are spaces still available for AP/EA.

Did anybody get waitlist mail…like the one they said they will send out on last Friday (and before, by the 17th -_-)?

I just emailed them again. Turns out they didn’t need to go to the waitlist this year sigh.
At any rate, hope your summer’s good, no matter what you’re doing!

@cataclysm: Does that apply to all programs or a certain one? Because I remember somebody earlier in this thread saying that they had got in but wouldn’t be attending due to acceptance into another program.
@idiotqueen, ummm, and somebody else who asked: they are very unorganized because the offical date was the 17th, they told you they would mail stuff out on Friday, but when I called them last Wednesday, they said said we mailed out stuff today. Plus, this really helpful lady who has been replying my emails to them said she’d let me know as soon as she got information.

By mailing stuff out today, I meant, mail stuff out last Wednesday.*

is this everyone from the pre-college/SAMS group on fb? I’m in there too.

P.S.
I’m going to SAMS this summer!

I was just accepted off the waitlist today for AP/EA! I received an email, I expect a letter will show up soon enough. Excited to see you all there soon :)

I got into AP/EA, summer programs for diversity (Free!). I just got an email today, but I already started my dual enrollment courses at my community college (also free) so I’m conflicted about whether to go. Any thoughts? Are there any alumni that can tell me more about the program?

@gangsta_ash: I would say Summer Program > Dual Enrollment. No doubt about it. Luckily, though, I was able to sign up for Dual Enrollment classes at Miami-Dade Community College that end like a week before the program.

I recieved an email yesterday that I did not get off the waitlist. To all you guys who got in, have a great time!

Cool, you’re from Miami? I’m from Broward! What a coincidence.

Is there any way to find out the professors’ names? I’m taking Biology 1 & Lab and Calc II if anyone has any info on those.

Yup, I’m from Miami And for those from SAMS, what projects are you guys considering?

Hey, I am from Miami and I was waitlisted, I called and they told me that they would have notifications sent out by last week but I still haven’t received anything from them regarding if got off the waitlist or not. I haven’t received an email either. If anyone is on the same boat?

I didn’t get any mail or email either…

@stars: rocket engineering(because it doesnt take a rocket scientist…oh wait hahaha) computer engineering, and robotics 1 (you can only pick 2 but those are the three i listed on the paper)
what about you?

and was it just me or am i the only one who forgot to send in their picture with the forms…

@amba: you can upload your pic online. And I chose tissue engineering, civil engineering, and robotics 1. I have a feeling civil engineering will have a lot of field trips throughout the city so we can see amazing buildings!

Hey is anyone going to cmu through new York airport onthe 26??

not mee but i thik i know about 2 people from last year who are
