@alpha30005 I think any program at Carnegie Mellon would be a fun and enriching experience. Did you get accepted to it through the diversity program or the regular way?
Regular way. Acceptance was very quick.
has anyone who applied to game academy, art, or design through the diversity program heard back yet? it seems that only sams and ap/ea have heard about acceptance decisions
Haven’t heard yet.
rip rejected
Sorry to hear that. How did you find out? Did you get an email?
I got a reply to an email I sent earlier this week and they said that art decisions will be sent out next week. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
@ready2launch thank u, i found out via email!
I’ve looked through the entire thread so I do have some idea, but can some SAMS alumni share their experiences at the program? Talk about the classes, the activities on the weekend, the dorms, up to you guys! Just want a little insight into to my upcoming summer.
Is there a group chat for accepted AP/EA students?
@Hamlon Thanks, I’m on it.
Is anyone here on the SAMS waitlist? If so this would be a good time to call CMARC to express your continued interest. S just gave up his slot. Good luck!
@planner03 Any reason why he gave up the slot?
@ak2018 He decided to go to MITES instead.
@planner03 Well congrats to your son!! And congratulations to everyone who got into any of Carnegie Mellon’s programs! Can’t wait to meet some of y’all.
Hi I am confused. If you get in via Diversity route the summer program is free, otherwise, you pay now like $8000+? What background can be considered for the Diversity route? I am guessing Asian is not qualified male or female?
@Hamlon ^ I think I need a little help answering this one.
Also for diversity summer program do yo have to be (or at least preferred to) a rising senior?
@Just4Years Yes, you do.
