***Carnegie Mellon University Class of 2020 RD Decision ONLY***

can anyone confirm whether people who get rejected still get something in the mail?

Only admitted and waitlisted get mail

@vpm3660 I actually have zero clue as to how many people would be on priority waitlist and those on the regular one. Since both aren’t determined just yet, admissions office would probably have those numbers around mid April. I am sure if you email them around April they would be able to give you more accurate info

Does anyone’s portal says “error getting data” when u log in?

Hey guys for all of you wondering about the waitlist, no applicants were accepted from the priority or normal waitlist for any department last year. (I was on the priority waitlist for SCS and CIT last year)

do they specify between waitlist and priority waitlist on the admissions decision letter?

or do they give everyone the option to be on the priority waitlist?

woo got in!

I was waitlisted at SCS with 2230 SAT, 3.93 UW GPA, and a pretty rigorous courseload.

Yep as someone else mentioned, last year zero people were admitted from either waitlist.

Priority waitlisted for School of Design :-<

Son was offered spot on priority wait list at SCS with ACT=35 and UW GPA of 4.0. He attended CMU Summer school, with two As in discrete math and second level CS class. Strong four years of robotics EC, head programmer,
controls award, etc. Rejected at second choice, CMU College of Engineering. No third choice. He is unlikely to bother with wait list. He can at least, transfer the CMU credits to Georgia Tech.

What is my applicant ID? I cant find it… my commonapp id doesnt work

@prospect123 It should be in the last paragraph of your acceptance letter.

@MandomeLife acceptance letter?? I just cant log in to Where I am In the Process since i do not know my applicant ID.

Also, please please please (when the potential class of 2021 reads this thread) don’t count yourself out because you don’t have perfect scores/GPA. Apply to Carnegie, especially if it’s your dream school! Remember your chance of getting in is 0% if you don’t apply.
