Carnegie Mellon vs. Girl with possible Boyfriend [summer internship]

every time I’ve heard a guy choose the girl in a decision like this, it always ended up a disaster.

I know how important a girl is to you but…

"every time I’ve heard a guy choose the girl in a decision like this, it always ended up a disaster. "

…makes a point.

Plus since your Canadian the americans outa go nuts for ya(as someone said). A fresh new start will give you confidence and then just let the canadian thing take over. Use it as a stepping stone experience. Which means you can’t be the “same old you” while at CMU. Get out and do things. And as someone else has already posted, you can still talk to the current girl to some degree. Use messenger or whatever.

No reason not to do both.

And congrats on getting into CMU for an intern. Your life is not a total loss.

CMU Engineering beats chasing ONE chick.

CMU Engineering MAY LEAD to great career opportunities which MAY LEAD to your OWN HOME which leads to a whole bunch of chicks.

“disregard females, acquire currency” -adamsawesome

LOL^

I would say take the internship, and then do the yes-man challenge. It will change your life.

Doesn’t summer internship imply that you will come back to Canada once you’re done?

"Doesn’t summer internship imply that you will come back to Canada once you’re done? "

Ya, I’m going back to Canada after the 4 months unless i really really like CMU in which case i’ll take my GREs and apply to do a masters there. But as it stands now i’m returning to Canada.

“yes-man challenge. It will change your life.”

i saw that movie…are there any less extreme ways to get a girlfriend???

You seem like you extremely want a girlfriend, so I don’t see what the problem is…
