We can’t help you without knowing your major/interests, your preferred school vibe or your finances. All of these should be considered when picking a school - or advising someone about schools.
@katliamom hi sry i should have mentioned my majors. I got into Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business, NYU Stern, and UCLA pre-business economics
Are they similar price-wise? What’s your home state? Will you have significant travel expenses involved with any of them? Obviously, they’re all great schools, but offering a different experience, both on campus and in terms of your major. NYU and CM are both respected programs, while UCLA’s focus will be more academic rather than practical. If you’re serious about majoring in business, it’s hard to beat Stern, especially if you’re interested in finance, international business or banking. OTOH, if you’re a California resident, UCLA would cost half of what CMU or NYU charge, right? In that case I’d go with UCLA – it’s still prestigious and will get you internships/jobs for a whole lot less – not an insignificant consideration especially if you’re at all contemplating an MBA down the line.
Carnegie Mellon
If you are in the state of California, then your decision should only really be between UCLA and Stern. Tepper is a great business school, but Stern is definitely superior (in most areas, not all and I am pretty biased since I am going to Stern next year lol ). If you can afford Stern, then I think you should definitely come. However, if you are gonna be 6 figures in debt, then consider UCLA.
Check out linkedin for placement at top firms from Stern. It is among the best in the country.
Stern is definitely superior —that is funny
